Brief introduction of engineering research center

National-provincial joint engineering research center of electromechanical product packaging with biomaterials was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in 2015. The center mainly aims at the national heavy machinery industry and industry based on the fabrication and application of biomass materials. Center focuses on numerous fields for scientific researches, technology developments and engineering applications, including the manufacturing technology of high-performance biomass wood-substitute materials and the manufacturing equipment, transport protective packaging structural design and manufacturing technology for heavy electromechanical products, structural simulation technology under the complex transport conditions, and the recycling and utilizing technology of biomass materials. The research center has more than 60 full-time researchers, including one academician of the ChineseAcademyof Engineering, one academician of the International Timber Academy of Sciences, 20 persons with senior professional title, and more than 70% researchers with doctoral degree.
